Frequently asked questions about selling property at auction

How much does it cost to sell a property at auction?

Fees can vary between properties we sell. You can expect to pay up to £500 to have a solicitor prepare your legal pack, and at least £450 for conveyancing fees. We will also take a pre-agreed percentage from the final sale price as commission.

Will my house go for less if I sell at auction?

Not necessarily! Good marketing can generate a lot of interest in auction properties, leading to competitive bidding that drives offers above the guide price.

What happens if a property does not sell at auction?

If a property remains unsold, it may be included in future auctions. You can also speak to our auction team for guidance if you’re interested in it post-auction.

Will I set the reserve price when I sell a property at auction?

Yes, we put you in total control of the reserve price. Our team will be happy to provide you with bespoke advice if required.
